Where Is the MATCHA Office?
Thank you for reading MATCHA. In September 2017, we moved our office to Kaminarimon in Asakusa. With our office set up in a popular sightseeing area, we deliver tourism information about Japan, as we come into contact with international visitors to Japan each day. We would like visitors to drop by our office, so we can introduce them to the charms of Japan. In this article, we will explain how to get to the MATCHA office from Tawaramachi Station (on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line) and Asakusa Station (on the Toei Asakusa Line).
Directions from Tawaramachi Station (On the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line)
Tawaramachi Station is the closest station on the Ginza Line, five minutes from the office.
Take the A3 exit and head up to the street.
Turn 180° and head in the other direction.
Once you do that, you will soon walk out into a large intersection.
Face the large orange building on the left side of this intersection, cross over, and head straight down the road.
Cross the next pedestrian crossing, as well.
Just a little further!
You will arrive at the Next Site Asakusa Building. This building, with flower beds placed high on its walls, is the home of the MATCHA office. It is also next to a 7-11, so use that as an easy-to-spot landmark! Enter the building, hit the intercom button to the left, punch in 502 and push the call button on the bottom-right.
Directions from Asakusa Station (On the Toei Asakusa Line)
Next, let’s look at how to get to the office from Asakusa Station, which is a seven minute walk away. These directions are based on the easiest exit to understand, A2a.
From Asakusa Station exit A2a, head out to street level and a large intersection will come into view.
After you have gone straight through the exit, cross the pedestrian crossing.
Once you are on the other side, head right, and cross another pedestrian crossing.
After that pedestrian crossing, head left. Use the red-roofed ramen shop as a landmark.
Cross the pedestrian crossing in the front of the photo, and head straight.
Once 7-11 comes into view, the MATCHA office is in the Next Site Asakusa Building next door, on the 5th floor.
There are several pedestrian crossings until you get to the MATCHA office, so watch out for cars. All of the MATCHA team members are waiting for you.
