This café is located right by the Tokyo Skytree Station of the Tōbu Skytree Line, which is always crowded with visitors from all over the world. This café aims to be "a place where everybody will gather", as well as "a place where fun things will happen". The interior let's you feel the warmth of the natural woods from the story of the Moomins. Time flows really slow here, allowing you to relax.


Once you enter the café, you will find the Moomin characters as stuffed toys sitting all over the place. You can spend some time right next to these Moomins if you are lucky enough to get a seat with Moomin toys. If you are a big fan of the Moomins, you will definitely want to share seats with them.

The Moomin House Café offers dishes based on the world of the Moomins. The reason why these dishes are popular is not only because they look nice and cute but also because they taste really good. The picture above shows one of the popular lunch menus called "Souvenir Moomin House Pancakes" (1,800 yen). These pancakes are made based on an original method, which uses a lot of milk, making the pancakes soft. Small Moomin ceramic figures come with this dish and you get to take one of them with you back home as a souvenir.


The cups piled up in the shape of a small tower contain cheese mousse and pudding. With its pleasant appearance and great taste, this dish will surely win the hearts of female customers.

The pictures above and below show the "Silhouette Latte", a beverage using freshly pulled espresso (Hot - 620 yen, Cold - 710 yen, tax not included). You get to choose the design of your latte from four variations: the Moomins, Snufkin, Hattifattener and Little My.


If you order the souvenir Silhouette Latte, you can take the Moomin House Café Original Cup with you home. It costs 1,500 yen.


After having a fabulous coffee time with the Moomins, you could also stop by the store with Moomin goods, located right next to the café. You can buy here original goods such as sweets and accessories sold only at this store. If you are a big fan of the Moomins, please do not miss it.
