Omotesando Street stretches from Tokyo Metro Omotesando station to Meiji Jingu Shrine. In the middle of a street that has lead Japan fashion and culture for many years, Omotesando hills opened in 2006 as a commercial facility.

A unique “spiral slope” connects all 6 floors

A world famous architect from Japan, “Tadao Ando” is responsible for design.
To harmonize with Omotesando landscape, the height of the building is kept at the same level with the Japanese zelkova trees. Therefore the commercial area is consisted of 6 floors: 3 ground level floors and 3 underground floors and 3 buildings: west branch, east branch, west branch and Dojun branch.

Inside the mail building a unique “spiral slope” is constructed. Shops and restaurants are lined along this slope like stand-alone shops. Did you know that the gradient of this slope is nearly equal to that of Omotesando?
