What is BISTRO by Nha Viet Nam Shinjuku?

BISTRO by Nha Viet Nam Shinjuku opened in October 2023 inside the restaurant and bar Haru★Chika, located in the basement of Odakyu HALC West Exit, which is famous for being open from lunchtime.

This is a bistro version of Nha Vietnam, a long-established Vietnamese restaurant in Ebisu that has been in business for over 20 years. In addition to standard meals such as pho, banh mi, and fresh spring rolls, you can enjoy hot Vietnamese hotpots and street food at any time of the day or night.

It is about a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station on the JR, Odakyu, and Keio lines. It is a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Shinjuku West Exit Station. Heading towards Exit B16 of the station, you will come across a staircase leading down to Shokudo Sakaba Haru Chika. Inside is BISTRO by Nha Viet Nam.

The cozy counter seats are perfect for a night of drinking alone. You can come here for a drink while reading your favorite book, or for a meal such as pho or a sandwich. Mobile ordering is available in English, Korean, and Chinese, so ordering is a breeze. Of course, you can also converse in Vietnamese!

What dishes do you recommend?

We recommend the rice noodles made from rice flour. There are flat steamed pho and boiled bun (from 1,000 yen). There are a wide variety of pho, from the classic steamed chicken or beef pho, to the spicy soy milk pho with minced meat that is popular among women, the bun bo hue with its deliciously spicy soup, and the dry noodles topped with skewers. The light soup is also perfect as a final dish after drinking!
