If you have ever been to Shinjuku, you probably know Lumine. It's a commercial building that includes many popular brands and restaurants.

It is a large facility, so maybe some of you have even become lost inside it before? Today we will be explaining where the Shinjuku Lumine buildings are found and guide you to your shopping spree.

Shinjuku Lumine consists of four buildings in total. Lumine 1, Lumine 2, Est East building, and the Lumine 0 building, which just opened in April 2016. Not all the buildings are adjacent to each other, and the East Building is especially hard to find as it is located in a completely different area of Shinjuku station. But actually, if you follow the signboards, it's not that hard!

1. Lumine 1

We will explain how to get to Lumine 1 from the Keiō Line and the JR lines.

From the Exit of Keiō Line

Heading toward Lumine 1 from the Keiō Line is easy, because the station and Lumine 1 are connected underground.

Continue walking up the stairs.

You will find Lumine 1 on your right hand side. You'll get there in less than 30 seconds.

When exiting the turnstile, check again that the exit you're leaving is the South Exit. The service counter on the left is easy to spot.

Exiting the South Exit, you will see two entrances to Lumine 2. If you're headed toward Lumine 1, you will continue forward for about 30 more seconds.

3. Lumine Est East Building

Contrary to the other buildings, the East Building is located on the east side of Shinjuku station. That is the main reason why many tourists have a hard time finding the other Lumine buildings once they have reached this one. However, it's actually not that complicated, and if you follow the directions below there is no way you can get lost.

From the JR Exit

Lumine Est East building is the same building as the station, so if you came to Shinjuku on one of the JR lines, it's really easy to find Lumine Est. You can exit the East Exit or the Central East Exit to find it right in front of your eyes.

Lumine 0 and NEWoMan

With the completion of the JR New South Exit, Lumine 0 and NEWoMan opened in April 2016. Lumine 0 is located on the fifth floor of NEWoMan, and is a space for concerts and exhibitions, unlike any of the other Lumine buildings.

The shops and literature spaces have been gathering much attention. Blue Bottle Coffee, often called "the Apple of coffee" opened a branch store here. This building is connected directly to JR Shinjuku station's New South Exit and is very easily accessible.

The New South Exit, where Lumine 0 is located, is actually just one road across from Lumine 1 and 2. The East building is a little separated, but the rest are all gathered in the same Shinjuku southern area.
