This giant screen towers over Akihabara and announces all otaku-related news to passers-by.

From Electric Town exit of JR Akihabara station, you will see a gigantic screen on your right. This screen is “Akihabara UDX vision”, which you can call the face of Akihabara.

On this screen the latest information is streamed of: anime, seiyuu (voice actors) CD releases, and even major topics such as anime press releases or new idol unit press releases. If you look at this screen, you’ll be able to check latest information about anime and seiyuu faster than anyone.

You Can See your Favorite Anime Character!

If you want to watch the screen from a close place, I recommend a view from the overpass. When there is an important release or special movie, this overpass will be filled with fans that have gathered for this day.

On this day the promotion movie of tv anime “Nagi no asukara (A Lull in the sea)” was on air. Manaka looks twice as cute on the clear high-vision big screen. Lucky you if your favorite character comes on screen!

Check This Out: A Trick to Get the Best Seat

I’ll show you a little trick here. If you want to watch “Akihabara UDX vision” for a while, I recommend getting a window counter seat at Starbucks on 4F of “Akihabara Atre” which stands right across the screen.
You’ll be a little far from the screen, but this is the best position to get a good view from the front. You can enjoy the movie stream to your heart’s content with hot coffee.
