Opened in 2020, PETALS TOKYO is located right next to T-Lotus M, a boat-shaped floating event space designed under the supervision of famed architect Kengo Kuma.

Opened in July 2016, Wise Owl Hostels Tokyo caught everyone's attention right away with its truly original concept. Although Japan is known for its many animal cafes, Wise Owl Hostels Tokyo is the first hostel to have an owl as its landlady!
Hachi, the adorable mistress of this establishment greets her guests at the door, and throughout the facility are many owl-themed works of art modeled after her.

3. A Colorful Work of Art: Mitaka Houses of Reversible Destiny

A work of art that you can live in! That is the shortest way to describe the Mitaka Houses of Reversible Destiny. This functional piece of art, the product of artist and architect Shusaku Arakawa and his partner Madeline Gins, is a colorful and interesting facility where guests may stay on a short term basis in one of two possible rooms.

4. Perfect for Ambiverts: BOOK AND BED TOKYO

BOOK AND BED TOKYO is a bookstore-themed hostel with about 1000 books on hand to choose from, plus comfortable lounge style seats and places where you can socialize or read on your own.

Guests can either sleep in compartments around the bookshelves or on bunks nearby. While there only a limited kitchen space available, there are plenty of exciting restaurants, convenience stores, and even a foreign currency exchange center located within walking distance of this Ikebukuro-based hostel.
