How to Get on a Tram
You can get on an Okadem tram from the stop in front of Okayama Station, called Okayama-ekimae. The stop is right in from of the East Exit.
First, take a look at a direction board and check which tram you have to take. To get to Korakuen or Okayama Castle, take a tram headed for Higashiyama and get off at the stop called Joka.
1. Hop on the Tram
Hop on from the back door.
Take a numbered ticket from the machine shown in the left part of the picture.
For payment, you can use an IC card (only ICOCA card, Hareka card, PiTaPa card). Just pass the card over the card reader.
2. Signal when You Get off
When your tram stop is announced, push a buzzer button.
3. Get off
Put your fare in the upper part of the machine with bright orange color. It costs only 100 yen (50 yen for children) to get to Joka from Okayama Station. If you took a numbered ticket at the back door, put it in together with the coins in the machine.
