Lindt Sakura Iced White Chocolate Drink And Délice Macarons
In recent years Lindt Chocolate has joined the popular sakura drinks and sweets line-up welcoming the Japanese spring. In 2019, try their white chocolate sakura beverage with sakura leaf flavored whipped cream as well as cherry blossom macaroons!
While Lindt Chocolate is a popular chocolate company that originated in Switzerland, a country known famous for its delicious chocolate, they have enjoyed a growing following in Japan over the last couple of years. Lindt shops offer soft serve, drinks and délice macarons all made with Lindt chocolate.
They also offer seasonal delights reflecting Japanese seasons and holidays. A couple of years ago they introduced their first Sakura themed drink and it is back this year.
The Lindt White Chocolate Cherry Blossom Drink (772 yen including tax) consists of an iced, creamy white chocolate base laced with the flavor of sour cherries, topped with cherry tree leaf flavored whipped cream and a generous helping cherry syrup. Cherry tree leaf is a popular ingredient is sakura-themed sweets such as sakura mochi. It is slightly salty in flavor.
Alongside the White Chocolate Sakura Drink, Lindt will also over two limited edition variations of their délice macaroons (302 yen including tax). Both will be cherry flavored. One will be a light pink color with a white chocolate and cherry cream in the center. The other will be a dark pink color with slightly salty sakura leaf filling,
You can also buy a set of the White Chocolate Sakura Drink and two macaroons of choice which will cost 1,080 yen.
The Lindt Chocolate Cafe in Ginza will also offer additional sakura specials such as a delicious White Chocolate Sakura Parfait (1,780 yen including tax) and a White Chocolate Sakura Dome Cake (1,890 yen including tax) which will reveal a scrumptious sakura dessert inside once hot sakura leaf flavored white chocolate is poured on top.
All of Lindt's sakura delights will be available until March 31st, 2019.
