It can be hard looking for vegetarian or vegan spots in Japan. Trico Curry offers a delicious option for the diet minded!

There are more than 5,000 curry restaurants in Japan. Personally, I think that number is second only to those in India - but of all these options, there is one restaurant that I would like to recommend.

Trico Curry is located between Nakano Station and Koenji Station on the JR Chuo line. It's about eight minutes on foot from both stations, and attracts many curry lovers every day.

Trico Curry is a cozy restaurant with just 15 seats.

The menu consists of pipi curry (vegetable curry), taco curry (curry with taco ingredients), chicken curry, katsu cutlet curry and more.  The prices are fixed at this restaurant too, so you needn't worry about having to pay more at night than at lunch.

Each curry comes with a salad.

This is my favorite dish, the pipi curry (vegetable curry). It has a very rich taste, which you can adjust by adding more of the broth that comes along with the order.

Avocado, lotus root, pumpkin, tomato... Fifteen kinds of vegetables sit on top, and they vary by the season. Each vegetable stands out, and the curry can also be ordered with a hashed potato topping.

Trico Curry is worth the walk from Nakano Station. For those who crave a rich-flavored vegetable curry, this is the place to go.
