McDonald's Japan-Limited Sankaku Choco Pie - Black And Cookies & Cream
Mcdonald's Japan Sankaku Pies are not your usual deep-fried piece. A match made in heaven of creamy chocolate and a croissant-like crust, they are a must-try this autumn.
McDonald's pies are popular all over the world. Usually, it is a uniform rectangular-shaped deep-fried crust stuffed with popular ingredients such as apple or chocolate.
McDonald's Japan's Sankaku Choco Pie (Triangle Choco Pie) is different. It is a limited edition item that has been around a couple of times already offering a thick, flaky, croissant-like crust stuffed with texture-rich ingredients.
The Sankaku Cookie & Cream Choco Pie is new to the line-up this year. It retails for 150 yen.
The Sankaku Cookie & Cream Choco Pie offers a dark chocolate crust filled with white chocolate cream and dark chocolate cookie pieces. This pie is sweet and creamy.
The Sankaku Kuro Choco Pie (130 yen) might have a somewhat of a misleading name. Kuro means black but the piecrust is not infused with any cocoa or chocolate making this pie appear lighter than the cookies & cream pie.
The "kuro" in the name refers to the filling. Inside the Sankaku Kuro Choco Pie is dark chocolate filling with almond pieces. The filling is slightly bitter and great for people who prefer something less sweet.

Both pies will be available until the end of December 2019, so there is plenty of time to try them.
