Vegan Store, located in Asakusa, Tokyo, and will be the first-ever all-vegan establishment with a conbini (convenience store) and casual family restaurant theme in Japan. All items at Vegan Store are completely plant-based and suitable for vegan and vegetarian visitors, and anyone looking to eat healthy and delicious food.
The shop opens Tuesday, December 3, 2019, and carries certified vegan food, drinks, desserts, and daily-use merchandise. All are welcome to visit and shop for as well as enjoy the delicious plant-based fare.
Ordinary convenience stores often carry a variety of hot food, from karaage fried chicken to hot dogs, at the cash register. Vegan Store also offers these warm dishes, ideal for cold winter days or a quick hot snack.
Other items for sale include rice balls, soy yogurt, chocolate, cookies, and cakes. There is even vegan soy milk-based ice cream to indulge in.
Pre-packaged instant meals like ramen are also available, as well as easy-to-prepare items like soup. For those with use of a kitchen, fresh produce, along with curry roux, sauces, and other cooking aids can be purchased at Vegan Store. Customers can find ordinarily hard-to-find plant-based meats and seafood inside the freezer section.
Even items like vegan soap and other daily care merchandise are for sale.
Vegan Store expects to increase its selection as more vegetarian and vegan-certified products become available in Japan.
Hours: Tuesday - Sunday, 6:00 - 23:00 (Closed on Mondays, except if a public holiday falls on a Monday. In the case of a holiday, Vegan Store will be closed on Tuesday.)
