The Adzuki Kinako Warabimochi Fuku Frappuccino (tall, 590 yen) contains adzuki (sweetened red beans), kinako (toasted soybean flour) and warabi mochi (soft mochi with bracken starch). Fuku means luck and the drink is supposed to bring luck for 2020. The beverage contains coffee and is topped with freeze-dried azuki beans.
An Adzuki Kinako Warabimochi Fuku Latte will also be available. It does not contain the freeze-dried azuki beans or the warabi mochi, but it is still delicious and perfect for the colder days. The latte retails for 450 yen plus tax for short, 490 yen for tall, 530 yen for grande and 570 yen for the venti size.
Both versions will be sold from December 26, 2019, until January 16, 2020, at all Starbucks locations throughout Japan.
