Four Different Japanese Chocolate Stout Beer For Valentine's Day
This Valentine's Day why not try some chocolate-flavored stout instead of the usual sweets? The Sankt Gallen Brewery from Kanagawa will release three different chocolate stout beers to department stores Japan-wide. The line-up includes orange, mint and vanilla flavored chocolate beer
Although Valentine's Day is celebrated very different in Japan, it is still very heavy on the chocolate. The Sankt Gallen Brewery in Kanagawa has been providing chocolate beer for the special occasion for many years.
This year they are offering the biggest line-up in their history with four different chocolate beers. They are the perfect option for every sweets lover. The dark stout beer base goes extremely well with sweet flavors like chocolate.
The Valentines variations for 2020 will be "Imperial Chocolate Stout" (9% alcohol, 600 yen plus tax), "Double Mint Chocolate Stout" (7% alcohol, 600 yen plus tax), "Orange Chocolate Stout" (6,5% alcohol, 600 yen plus tax) and "Sweet Vanilla Stout" (6,5% alcohol, 460 yen plus tax). The Sweet Vanilla Stout was even rated as delicious in a Japanese TV program by people who normally don't like beer.
All four chocolate stouts will be available in 330ml bottles at the alcohol department of bigger department stores throughout Japan from January 9th, 2020. A full list of the stores carrying Sankt Gallen Brewery can be found at their website (Japanese only)
