Strawberry daifuku are a popular winter snack in Japan. To celebrate the New Year, Pablo has combined rich cheese tarts with chewy mochi and juicy strawberries. This is the perfect "east meets west" dessert!

Strawberry Daifuku is a popular snack around the New Year's period. In Japan, strawberry picking season is between December and May so the fresh fruit gets turned into a variety of desserts. The popular cheese tart maker Pablo has taken inspiration and combined creamy cheesecake with rich-tasting strawberry mochi to celebrate the new year.

Pablo Ichigo Daifuku Mini Cheese Tart (350 yen) is topped with tart strawberry sauce and a real strawberry daifuku on each piece. The strawberry daifuku is filled with sweet white bean paste.

Pablo will also offer a normal-sized Ichigo Daifuku Mini Cheese Tart (1,852 yen). For the big version, sweet red beans are mixed with whipped cream and spread and the cheese filling. The tart is topped with mochi skin and fresh strawberries.

The Ichigo Daifuku Cheese Tarts are available now until January 31, 2020, at all Pablo Stores. Both offer a truly offer unique "east meets west" delight that shouldn't be missed by any daifuku fan.
