Matcha And Dark Chocolate Pies - Mister Donut's 50th Anniversary Series

Mister Donut's second installment of its 50th-anniversary matcha and dark chocolate series is all about textures. How about enjoying a chewy Pon de Ring and a crispy pie in one bite?
Mister Donut recently collaborated with acclaimed patissier Toshi Yoroizuka to release matcha green tea and dark chocolate doughnuts for its 50th anniversary. This series is still available at Mister Donut stores in Japan.
This very loved original doughnut series has a sequel! Toshi Yoroizuka thought about a way to upgrade some of the popular items from the previous collection. The add-on collection is all about textures.

First up is the green tea Pon de Ring, which is turned into Pon de Pie (200 yen before tax). This exquisite treat is a chewy matcha-infused Pon de Ring placed on a chocolate-covered pie sheet. This variation is available as Pon de Pie Uji Matcha and Pon de Pie Chocolate.

Depending on which of the two variations you choose, the middle is filled with chocolate or green tea flavored whipped cream and topped with almond crunch.
