Hijiori Onsenkyo

Hijiori Onsenkyo is a hot spring resort located at the foot of Mt. Gassan, a sacred mountain in Dewa, and is known as one of Japan's leading hot spring resorts with a 1,200-year tradition. Consisting of three hot springs, Hijiori Onsen, Kogane Onsen, and Ishiboi Onsen, it is surrounded by a vast broad-leaved forest zone, and the beautiful colors of the four seasons provide a soothing experience for visitors. The morning market that begins with the arrival of spring is one of Hijiori Onsen's specialties. Wild vegetables, mushrooms, and other side dishes made by mothers are lined up in front of the eaves of the inn. The morning market is held every day from late April to early December, and the hot spring town becomes lively, filled with the cheerful exchanges between mothers and spa visitors. In winter, we are proud of the heavy snowfall, and you can enjoy the atmosphere of a hot spring with Yukimi Toji.
