Asahidake

Asahidake is the highest mountain in Hokkaido and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, with an altitude of 2,291m. Located on the north side of Daisetsuzan National Park, the area has a wide plateau and is home to a wide variety of alpine plants. Although the climbing season is short, running from late June to early October, the sight of nature changing rapidly in such a short period of time is breathtaking.
