Geo Room Discover

The exhibition, opened in July 2021, was created in collaboration by Ama Town and the Oki Islands UNESCO Global Geopark. It will take you on a time travel back to when the Earth was born and walk you through the interesting processes which resulted in the formation of the Oki Islands! Other highlights include: displays about the islands' culture, flora and fauna, a relaxing lounge with a sofa from where you can admire the view of Hishiura Port, and a small library corner. Descriptions are shown in both Japanese and English. English-speaking staff available on some days. Free admission. Open every day, from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm. This facility is located on the ground floor of the newly built Entô Annex NEST. The entrance of the new building is on the right-hand side of the main entrance of the original building (Entô BASE) when facing the original building. Enter Entô Annex NEST, proceed down the stairs and you will find yourself at the facility.
