Karurusu Onsen

Located at the foot of Orofure Pass, about 8 km from Noboribetsu Onsen, it was opened by Kutachi Hino in 1899 (Meiji 32). Karurusu Onsen is located in a high-dry basin 300m above sea level, and the valley surrounding it is worth seeing in both the fresh greenery and autumn foliage. It is also surrounded by mountains such as Mt. Orofure (1,230.8m) and Mt. Kuruma (1,040.1m). In the winter, there is the Municipal Karurusu Onsen Sunraiba Ski Resort, which is adjacent to the city, and has 7 courses that can satisfy both beginners and advanced skiers, with 3 lifts and night skiing facilities. You can enjoy up to Noboribetsu Onsen, which is famous for its abundant amount of hot spring water and various spring qualities, Jigokudani and Oyunuma, and the Noboribetsu Primeval Forest, which is a natural monument。
