Niseko Hot Spring Village (Konbu, Yumoto, Niimi)

Niseko Hot Spring Village consists of four hot spring villages located at the foot of the eastern side of the Niseko Mountain Range within the Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Kaigan Quasi-National Park. First, Niseko Konbu Onsen, the largest hot spring resort in the Niseko area. Autumn leaves along the mountain stream are beautiful, and in winter it is popular as a base for mountain skiing. In recent years, there are also resort hotels and Japanese-style inns with cypress baths. Niseko Yumoto Onsen, which has a rare boiling swamp as its source, is located halfway up Chisenupuri, and is adjacent to the town-run Chisenupuri Ski Resort. In addition, Oyunuma, the source of the hot spring, is considered to be an academically valuable place, with many extremely rare sulfur spheres floating in it.
