Hall of Trees

This nature learning facility was designed by Tadao Ando to capture and introduce from various perspectives the splendor of forests and trees, the origins of Japanese culture. The interior is constructed with pillars and beams, typical of Japanese wooden architecture, and the space where the tall pillars extend vertically represents the vitality of a forest growing in the sunlight. In addition, a large pond filled with water, the source of life, is placed in the center of the building, and above it you can look up at the shining sun against the backdrop of a blue sky. There are also many experience programs that allow you to interact with nature, making it a popular spot for doing summer vacation homework.
