Ika-yose-no-hama Bay

This shallow bay, where one of the torii gates of Yurahime Shrine stands, gained its name because shoals of squid used to swim up here. Located just in front of Yurahime Shrine, shoals of squid used to swim up to this inlet every December and January. This is also the one-and-only location where locals could catch squid with their bare hands, or using baskets.
