Hanawa Dahlia Festival

The Hanawa Dahlia Festival, held annually in Hanawa Town, Fukushima Prefecture, is a beautiful event where 5,000 dahlias of about 300 varieties bloom. The best time to see them is from August to October, mainly at the Hanawa Dahlia Garden at Yuyu Land. The various types of dahlias, such as large-flowered, pompom-flowered, unusual-flowered, and medium-flowered, attract visitors. During the event, various dahlia-related events are held. For example, there are dahlia photography classes, dahlia dyeing experiences, and a traditional folk market, so visitors can not only enjoy the beauty of dahlias, but also experience local culture and specialties. In addition, a dahlia map stamp rally and photo contest are held, and participants can enjoy touring the town.
