Popeye: A cafe where you can stay overnight and fall in love with the sea

A coffee shop where you can stay on the beach in a small rural town. A nostalgic atmosphere spreads, as if time has stopped for decades. The first floor is a small shop run by my grandparents. Neighbors still chat with each other today, centered around the mascot cat. The coffee shop on the second floor was opened by my grandparents 65 years ago and reopened in the spring of 2021. The retro Showa-era atmosphere of the interior remains, and the nostalgic, traditional Chinese noodles made with plenty of dried sardines are popular. Some people spend their time reading books while sipping coffee brewed with a siphon, while others meet up with locals to enjoy a friendly chat. At the guesthouse in the back, students and travelers can gaze out at the sea and enjoy a time of falling in love with it. Enjoy a relaxing time in our restaurant overlooking the ocean, experiencing the everyday life of a small town in the Seto Inland Sea.
