Kasamatsu Kawazu Sakura Road

Kasamatsu Kawazu-zakura Road, located in Kasamatsu-cho, Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, is a scenic spot where about 350 Kawazu-zakura trees are in full bloom, planted along a 1,500-meter long agricultural canal. Local residents started planting trees around 2007, and now it attracts many tourists as a famous spot that symbolizes spring. Kawazu cherry blossoms are characterized by large, darker pink flowers than Someiyoshino cherry trees, and they usually begin blooming in mid-February and can be enjoyed until mid-March. The ``reflection (water mirror)'' feature that has become a hot topic on social media is especially popular because it allows you to capture the fantastic sight of cherry blossoms reflected in the water.
