Cape Hyuga, Umagase

"Hyuga Misaki /Umagase" is a spectacular spot on a Misaki jutting out into the Hyuga Nada . In particular, the cliffs known as "Umagase" are 70m high cliffs that rise sheer across a narrow cove about 10m wide, and are known as some of the largest columnar rock walls in Japan. The contrast between the dynamic topography created by marine erosion and the expansive blue Pacific Ocean is breathtaking, and you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view from the observation deck.
