Hokuto City Akeno Sunflower Festival

The Hokuto City Akeno Sunflower Festival is a representative summer event of Yamanashi Prefecture City, Yamanashi Prefecture, held annually from mid-July to mid-August in Hokuto City-cho , Hokuto City, which boasts one of the longest hours of sunshine in Japan. Approximately 400,000 sunflowers bloom at slightly different times, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery for about a month.
