Chiba City Kasori Shell Mound Museum

Kasori Shell Mounds Museum exhibits earthenware, stone tools, and other items found from the special historical landmark Kasori Shell Mounds, as well as tools and other items used by people of the Jomon Period. In addition,you can learn about shell mounds found at the Kasori Shell Mounds and within the city and prefecture, as well as about the Jomon Period. Kasori Shell Mounds was named a special national historical site, the first of its kind, in October 2017. Kasori Shell Mounds Jomon Archeological Park has the South and North Kasori Shell Mounds cross-section observation facilities, pit dwelling remains observation facility, restored dwellings, and other buildings. You can also see many rare plants and animals.
