Mototori Hydrangea Garden

The hydrangea garden at the foot of the mountains in Nogata City delights visitors with its vibrant, colorful flowers in full bloom. About 30 years ago, a local man planted hydrangeas at Mototori Hydrangea Garden in Kamitonno, Nogata, in an attempt to beautify the satoyama (traditional Japanese woodland area). Since then, the forest has been developed and the number of hydrangeas has grown to over 4,000.
