City Hall Street (City Hall Sakura Street)

Its original name is City Hall Street, but it is also popularly known as Sakura Street. It is about a 15-minute walk from the south exit of Sagamihara Station, and is known as a famous cherry blossom spot, having been selected as one of the "100 Best Flower Spots in Kanagawa." Planting and maintenance began in 1952, and approximately 300 Somei-yoshino cherry trees are now planted along the 1.6 km stretch from City Hall Street to the Nishimon intersection. It is the main venue for the Sagamihara Citizens' Cherry Blossom Festival.
