Biwako Cultural Park

Biwako Bunka Koen is a prefectural comprehensive park that stretches across the Konan Hills (Seta Hills) in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It was developed based on the Biwako Cultural Park City Concept, formulated in 1982, and the park features a "Cultural Zone" where prefectural arts and cultural facilities gather. Around 500 cherry blossoms are planted on the vast grounds, and in spring the entire park is decorated with cherry blossoms in full bloom. In particular, you can enjoy a picnic under the cherry blossoms around the grassy area, making it a popular spot for families and couples. There is relatively little crowds around the area, and it also has a hidden gem that allows you to enjoy a relaxing cherry blossom viewing experience. There is also a Japanese garden and a walking path inside the park, making it perfect for relaxing time while watching the cherry blossoms. This spot allows you to feel the arrival of spring in a calm atmosphere that combines art and nature.
