Matsuzaki Town is a town in Kamo District, Shizuoka Prefecture. It is located along the coast of the southwestern part of the Izu Peninsula. The town's catchphrase is ``A village of flowers and romance.'' Although 64% of the town is forest, the Naka River and Iwashina River flowing through the town center make it the largest plain on the west side of the Izu Peninsula, with approximately 500 ha of cultivated land in its basin. There are many historical sites in the town, and the buildings with sea cucumber walls are particularly impressive, and there are also hot springs, such as Matsuzaki Onsen in the center, Osawa Onsen in the east, and Miura Onsen in the southwest (Iwachi Onsen, Ishibe Onsen, Kumomi Onsen), etc. It is visited by many tourists, including those who enjoy swimming in the sea. Approximately 70% of the sakurahazuke used in sakuramochi is produced in Matsuzaki Town, and along the Nakagawa River, you can see approximately 1,200 cherry blossom trees along the Nakagawa River.
