Ogaki City is located in the center of Nishi-Mino in the western part of Gifu Prefecture, and has been a key point for east-west transportation since ancient times, serving as the stage for various historical and cultural events. It is located in one of the most prominent artesian belts in the country and is blessed with an abundance of groundwater, so much so that it is nicknamed the "Suite Capital of Ogaki." In addition, the Funamachi Minato ruins, which is the ending point of haiku poet Matsuo Basho's travelogue ``Oku no Hosomichi'' and where the memories of his death are passed down, are home to the Sumiyoshi lighthouse and riverboats that remind us of those days.
