Ogaki Festival

The origin of the Ogaki festival is that in 1648, Hachiman Shrine, which was the guardian deity of Ogaki castle town, was rebuilt and maintained by Lord Ujitetsu Toda, the lord of Ogaki domain. It is said that the festival began when the 10 towns of Ogaki built 10 ryo floats and pulled them around in donations. In Enpo 7th year (1679), the feudal lord Toda Ujiaki gave him the so-called Sanryo-yama, Kagura-yama, Daikoku-yama, and Ebisu-yama. I put a lot of effort into the decorations. Many of the ridges were lost in the Nobi Earthquake and the last war, but after that, reconstruction progressed through restoration, restoration, and purchase, and two ridges were restored in 2012, bringing the total to 13 ryo cars for the first time in 70 years.
