Minamiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, is located at the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula. About 3 hours and 30 minutes by car from Tokyo. It is located about 2 hours and 50 minutes from Tokyo by train. The population is approximately 7,700.
