Yumeji Local Art Museum, Yumeji Birthplace Memorial Hall, Shonen Sanso

Yumeji Takehisa, who still has many fans today, is a poet and painter who depicts the world of Taisho romance. His paintings of beautiful women are especially famous. The thatched-roofed house where he lived until he was 16 years old has his drawings and prints on display. ``Shonen Sanso'' is a restoration of Yumeji's studio and residence, which he designed and built in Tokyo in his later years, and which can be said to be Yumeji's only architectural work.
