Takahashi City Samurai Residence/Former Orii Family

Ishibiya-cho, where the samurai residence and former Orii family is located, has earthen walls on both sides and rows of houses with formal gates, and is part of the Okayama Prefecture-designated Ishibiya-machi Furusato Village. This building was built 170 years ago during the Tenpo era, and was the home of a samurai who weighed around 200 koku. It consists of a main building and a nagaya gate.The main building is in the shoin-zukuri style, and the pond, garden stones, and stepping stones in the courtyard are almost the same as before, and there is a museum facing the garden.
