Bitchu Takamatsu Castle Ruins Museum

This museum is located on the site of Bitchu Takamatsu Castle, which was the main battlefield of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's water invasion. The Battle of Takamatsu Castle is famous not only for its unique strategy, but also as the battle that led to the death of Oda Nobunaga and Hideyoshi's unification of Japan. Bitchu Takamatsu Castle was located at a strategic location along the Matsuyama traffic route from Bizen Province to Bitchu Matsuyama. Kibiji, which includes Takamatsu, is a treasure trove of cultural properties and historical sites, and the museum exhibits many artifacts and cultural properties excavated from the Takamatsu area.
