Bunshokan - Yamagata Prefecture Local Museum

Built in 1916 by Shinnosuke Tahara and others, it is a brick building in the early-modern British revival style. It is a nationally designated important cultural property, and the facility is preserved and open to the public, and permanent exhibitions are held to deepen understanding of the local area. Since its completion in June 1916, the symbolic tower clock has continued to tick away time.
