Masutomi Onsen

Masutomi Onsen is located in the northwest of Yamanashi Prefecture. Mizugaki, Mt. Kinpu, and along the Honya River, this hot spring is said to have been used as a treasured hot spring by Takeda Shingen when he was excavating gold during the Sengoku period (1467-1573). It is one of the "hidden hot springs". It was called Kinsen-yu from around 1887 (Meiji 20), and became famous as a radium hot spring after the effects of radium were widely advertised at the beginning of the Taisho era (1912-1926). Currently, we are working on creating a healing village, and we are providing guidance on bathing methods such as taking advantage of the effects of hot springs and enhancing the natural healing power that humans have at the day-trip bathing facility "Masutomi no Yu". In addition to hot springs, you can also take a walk on the promenade in the beautiful rich nature, the fresh greenery of the Honyagawa Valley, and the autumn leaves of Tsusenkyo Gorge to give your tired body a rest.
