Hirayu, Fukuchi, Shin-Hirayu, Tochio, and Shin-Hotaka, which are dotted in a V-shape at the western foot of the 3,000m-class Northern Alps, are collectively called Okuhida Onsengo. Ideyu-no-Sato Okuhida Onsen-go, with its clear blue sky and Northern Alps, boasts an abundance of hot spring water, forming an open-air bath paradise of about 170 locations.
From the harsh winter to spring, when fresh green sprouts are impressive. Summer without the heat is like a different world. Overlapping with the mountains covered with fresh snow during the autumn leaves that all mountains are burning, it shows the beauty of three-tiered dyeing. Okuhida Onsengo, which entertains visitors throughout the four seasons, has many leisure facilities and sightseeing facilities.
First, Shinhotaka Ropeway, which boasts the largest scale in the East. With a total length of 3,171m, this ropeway projects a panorama of nature before your eyes and takes you all the way to an altitude of 2,156m. From there, you can see the high peaks of the Northern Alps and listen to the magnificent symphony of nature.
In addition, the Norikura Skyline, Japan's highest mountain highway, is also close to the hot spring village, making it easy to reach another world above the clouds.
For walks, there are places such as Hirayu Otaki, one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls, Hirayu Folk Museum, Okuhida Bear Ranch where more than 200 bears have gathered, and Mukashibanashi no Sato. There are also walking and trekking courses available, so you can enjoy a wide variety of activities, from short walks to hard mountain trekking, depending on your physical strength and leisure time.
