Minamioguni-machi, located in the upper reaches of the Chikugo River, in the northern part of Aso-gun, is located in the plateau area at the foot of the Aso outer rim and the Kokonoe mountain range. We also pay attention to the environmental impact of soaps and shampoos used in hot springs.
At Kurokawa Onsen, which has become famous nationwide, you can enjoy three open-air baths with a unique "bathing bill" (1,200 yen per ticket). There are also communal baths such as Jizoyu and Anayu, which are related to the legend of the opening of the hot spring. It has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 hot springs and secluded hot springs, and is close to Aso-Kuju National Park and Senomoto Kogen, and has an excellent environment.
Tanohara Onsen, which is next to Kurokawa, has been known as a hot spring resort for 300 years. It is also the location where the movie "Tora-san" series was filmed.
Manganji Onsen is located along the Shizu River, which is home to the natural monument Okichi Mozuku. The nearby Tategozan Mangan-ji Temple has a prayer temple built by Hojo Tokisada in the 13th century, as well as natural monuments and cultural properties. He makes good use of ingredients such as wild vegetables and fish that can be harvested locally.
