Tsubame Onsen

Tsubame Onsen, located in Joshinetsu Kogen National Park, is a hot spring resort that has been open since ancient times. Tsubame Onsen, located at an altitude of 1,100m, is, as the name suggests, a hot spring with white water where rock swallows flock. In addition, if you walk along the right bank from Tsubame Onsen town for about 10 minutes while looking at the mountain surface of Kana on the opposite bank, you can see "Somen Waterfall" on the opposite bank. Furthermore, there is a suspension bridge called "Myosenkyo" in the back, and if you cross this bridge and follow the path down to the riverbed, there is an open-air bath "Kawara no Yu" that anyone can use at any time. When soaking in this bath and looking at the great outdoors, you can feel the mysterious feeling that only a secluded place can offer. Tsubame Onsen is said to have been discovered by Kobo Daishi, and is appreciated as a special hot spring for rheumatism and neuralgia.
