Oisugi Shrine

It is a shrine where the main deities enshrined are Sujin no Mikoto, Kushiinadahime no Mikoto, and Hachioji no Mikoto, and are blessed with divine virtues such as warding off evil spirits and good harvests, and the main shrine has been designated as an important cultural property of the country. The rich colors and Sangensha style retain the appearance of Muromachi architecture. At the annual festival in May, the Sanyare dance, which has been certified as a Japanese heritage site, ``Lake Biwa and its waterside scenery - a water heritage site of prayer and daily life,'' is dedicated.
