For about 260 years since the time of the feudal lord, the Mori family, the salt fields of Mitajiri have continued to produce high-quality salt using the ``Irihama style'' process of drawing in seawater using the ebb and flow of Shima. It became a production area and played a major role in the history of Japan's salt industry. In commemoration of this, this facility has been restored and allows you to see and experience the salt making process from back then.
