Unzen Daikokutenmagaibutsu

This Unzen Daikokutenmagaibutsu is said to have been carved using line drawings on natural stone. Every October, a large festival is held by the local support association to pray for the safety of the family. Also, since Daikoku-sama has a similar reading to Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, it is worshiped as a god that indicates the arrival of good fortune. It is enshrined on the opposite bank of the prefectural road in front of the dam lake, also known as ``Oshidori Pond.''
