Unzen Vidro Art Museum

There are 150 pieces on display, including antique glass from the 18th and 19th centuries, as well as oil lamps and Nagasaki Vidro. There is a shop on the first floor, and you can easily try your hand at making glass. (Reservation required) During the Edo period, this glass was called Vidro Giyaman and was prized. Nagasaki is also the birthplace of Japanese glass, and our museum has a collection of antique glass, including blown glass from the Edo period known as ``Vidro'' and Bohemian glass from the 19th century. In addition, we display ceramics and paintings from Kakiemon, Nabeshima, Ko-Imari, etc. depending on the season. We also have a workshop where you can enjoy various glass making experiences.
