Oita Sake Brewery

"Oita Sake Brewery" was founded in 1720 during the Edo Kyoho era. Since ancient times, ``dry'' sake has been produced in Hida Takayama. The representative brand ``Oni Koroshi'' continues to be loved by local people. The ``Oni Koroshi'' is not only spicy, but is brewed with the hope that by drinking it, the ``demon'' (evil spirit) that dwells in people's hearts will be removed. (In 1990, in search of clean natural water and rich nature, we moved our brewery to Kiyomi-cho, a suburb of Takayama City, where we now produce the local sake Onikoroshi.) The representative brand is "Oni Koroshi".
