Tajima Great Buddha Chorakuji Temple

Choraku-ji is a famous Shingon Buddhist temple with 1,200 years of history. In the Great Buddha Hall, three of the world's largest wooden Buddhas, each 15.8m tall, sit side by side, and their shining gold leaf is unparalleled in beauty. It took a total of 20,000 Buddhist sculptors three years to complete in China. The vast grounds, which include a great gate and a five-story pagoda, speak to people today of the eternity of the soul.
